Enoch + Lalaine
Affordable wedding photographer

If we could describe this shoot in one word, it would definitely be dreamy. Enoch and Lalaine showed the type of enduring compassion and love towards one another that reminded me of my grandparents. And, it’s evident in their love story as well. Just three short months after meeting these two tied the knot. But, they didn’t have wedding photos taken at the time so we treated this shoot as a mini elopement! Lalaine looked timeless in her white dress. Not only did we get some truly epic shots of waves crashing around the two (little mermaid vibes anyone?!) but we also ended the session with a truly epic collection of underwater images.

Keith + Sadie
hawaii elopement and wedding photographer

We almost cancelled this session due to island wide rain, but Sadie (thankfully) said they were fine with the weather. And boy, were we glad she did! We had AMAZING light. The pair never had formal wedding photos taken, so on their anniversary we played on one of our favorite beaches to capture anniversary bridals. Sadie and Keith were so playful… running, skipping, and jumping their way across the beach. This is going down as one of our favorite shoots to date, and it’s not hard to see why.

Sora + Vireak
Hawaii maternity photographer

We started this two-part maternity session at one of our favorite wooded spots. Sora and Vireak giggled at each other while Patrick snapped away on his camera. The pair weren’t afraid to dip their toes in the cool pond, the small waterfall christening them from behind. The dramatic colors and moody hue made Sora’s form-fitted white dress stand our perfectly, highlighting their new addition to the family.

For the second half of our shoot, we drove north, racing the setting sun. After another change, we made our way into shallow tide pools for some underwater maternity shots. We are in LOVE with how they turned out! Sora looked STUNNING in her coral maternity gown, the fabric dancing beneath the water. We were blessed with another gorgeous sunset, the light surrounding the pair like a magic Elysium.

Adaleilei + Cheong
hawaii elopement photographer

This sweet couple flew all the way to Honolulu from Malaysia to elope. We met up with them the day after they tied the knot to capture stunning bridal photos in the forest. Adaleilei was drop dead gorgeous and so regal in her black gown. (and catch those nails, so much bling!) We had originally planned to hike near he Pali for sunset and the second half of their shoot but had to postpone due to weather. And, we’re so thankful we did! A few days later we tried again in a new location (Makapuu) and captured the lovers overlooking the serene coastal waters of Hawai'i. Adeileil's gorgeous tulle skirt blew delicately in the wind, hiding the Nike sneakers she wore underneath. Her edgy plaid top contrasts the delicate skirt, and matched her new hubby Cheong, to a tee (pun intended). As the wind whipped around us, we played on the steep rocks, the new lovers giddy with joy. We hiked down from the cliffs just as the sun made its final dip behind the horizon bathing Adeileil and Cheong in its warm glow. The scenery, the bride's non-traditional attire, and the sidelong glances exchanged between the two... everything was a photographer's dream come true!

Brianna + David

It’s been a crazy hurricane season, with multiple back-to-back threats, sending the remote islands of Hawai’i into preparation mode. With a tropical storm barreling towards the Big Island and Maui, wouldn’t you know that we were supposed to be on our way to meet Brianna + David in Kahului, Maui. Kelsi and I ended up having to cancel our flights out, and instead stayed home, barricaded in among our lanai plants. The storm quickly fizzled out, so we scrambled to get our flights back to Maui. Brianna + David picked us up from the airport that afternoon in Kahului and then took us to a secluded cove they had found. The skies were still grey from the recently passed storm, but the waters were calm and the winds were still. As we drove along the coast, we stopped at a few beaches and an ancient lava flow. Brianna + David laughed, danced, and laid in the sand. The sun set with a celebration of champagne for the bride and groom to be. Then we made our way back to the airport the same day, which marked the quickest day trip by plane either of us has ever made.

Sarah + Stevie's Styled Elopement
Hawaii elopement photo

The inspiration behind this shoot came from the fact that we absolutely love intimate elopements just as much, if not more than big weddings. We want to inspire couples, who contemplate eloping but perhaps also want to celebrate with family and friends and find themselves divided between a large party and intimate getaway. Couples that go for a big wedding can still privately celebrate and enjoy the intimacy of an elopement feel by keeping a small part of their day just to themselves. Whether you’re having an intimate elopement or a large wedding that you want to have an intimate feel, this woodland elopement inspiration is for you! The moody vibes and minimal details were all we needed to get completely swept away by this enchanting styled elopement! We designed this shoot from top to bottom- creating the table designs, bar cart, cake, florals, jewelry, and we even chose the dresses! Sara's gorgeous haku was made by local vendor La'ahia. We  let the natural beauty of forest speak for itself and added just a touch of modern, textural florals and greenery  to add a bit of color to the shoot. For a touch of whimsy, the brides wore vintage statement jewelry that added a boho feel to the entire shoot. Between the vibrant, summery color palette, the intimate setup, and the complementary gowns we’re having trouble thinking of anything more romantic than this styled forest elopement! All the joy of the day was also captured on film, with a short highlight video that of Sarah + Stevie.
