Sophi is brave. Sophi is talented. Sophi masterfully combined elegance with adrenaline when we took her to the cliffs for sunrise. Here we dangled her from some ropes in the darkness of early morning, and being the good sport that she is, Sophi never let on any fear. Even on this relatively calm morning, the wind threatened to sway her, teetering on the rocky ledge hundreds of feet above the ocean below. As the sun broke the horizon, amazing colors bathed the landscape in pink, orange, and gold. Now levitation is much more difficult for the model than for the photographer; there's a fine amount of grace that needs to be reflected, even though the positioning is terribly uncomfortable, and the blood may be pooling in your head. Sophi required so little direction that the images came to life. When we finished with the ropes, we made use of the soft golden light of the tropical morning sun. As much as I am not a morning person, I never forsake the opportunity to be up before dawn, bringing inspiration to light in the solace of early morning. Plus, we still had the entire day for other shenanigans, but for empty stomachs, the obvious next stop was dim sum brunch! Until next time Sophi!
